TechIndex (“we”, “us”) aggregates publicly available RSS feeds and displays headlines. We respect your privacy and collect the minimum data needed to operate the service.
1. Data we collect
- Preferences (local only): theme, language, selected sources, text size and sort order are stored in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device.
- No analytics or tracking: we do not load any third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or external code. Zero data leaves your browser.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email is stored in our own database and used solely to deliver our digest. No third-party services involved.
- Contact form: messages are delivered via Resend to the site operator; we keep them only as long as needed to reply.
2. Data we do NOT collect
- No accounts, passwords or profiles.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal data with advertisers.
- No cross-site tracking pixels or external scripts of any kind.
3. Third parties
Headlines and images are fetched from publishers via public RSS. Clicking a headline opens the publisher's site under their own privacy terms. Market data via Yahoo Finance; crypto data via public APIs.
4. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You may access, correct, delete or export any personal data we hold. Contact us via the form in the footer. You can also reset all locally stored preferences by clearing your browser storage.
5. Cookies
We do not set any cookies. All preferences are stored in localStorage which never leaves your device. Reset anytime by clearing browser storage.
